I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. It completely slipped my mind 

Do the Grammar in Focus Exercise

benchmark: something that is used as a standard by which other things can be judged or measured. A benchmark is a standard that other similar items can be compared to — that way everything is measured against a common standard. Sp.  parámetro, punto de referencia.

E.g.

figures that are a useful benchmark for measuring the company’s performance

his painting sets the benchmark of quality
